The Wizard of Ostend lands in Geraardsbergen

From 6 September to 26 October 2025, Musea Hunnegem (Geraardsbergen) will host a special exhibition on Raoul Servais and his award-winning animated film Nocturnal Butterflies.

🎨 Raoul Servais & Nocturnal Butterflies

This small-scale exhibition introduces you to the magical world of Raoul Servais. The focus is on his film Nocturnal Butterflies, a poetic and personal work that balances between stillness and dance, dream and reality. The film is inspired by the mysterious paintings of Paul Delvaux, a close friend of Servais.

In addition to the story behind the film, the exhibition also showcases Servais' unique creative process, known as Servaisgraphy — a revolutionary combination of live action and animation. Visitors can view and purchase original animation cels, signed and numbered prints, and original drawings.

📅 When : Every Saturday and Sunday from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., from 6 September to 26 October 2025
