4 short films at WinterGloed

On Friday 12 December Gaasbeek Castle and its majestic Knights' Hall will be the setting for a special film evening dedicated to the short films of Raoul Servais.

We are proud that his work will be featured at this third edition of WinterGloed—an event that perfectly matches the rich imagination of Raoul Servais.

Castles appeal to the imagination, and Raoul Servais did this like no other in his films. His magical-realistic short films convey an intense poetic beauty. During WinterGloed, the public will have the opportunity to rediscover some of his most iconic works.

Programme

Following an introduction by film curator Wouter Hessels, four short films will be screened:

  • Chromophobia (1965)

  • To Speak or Not to Speak (1970)

  • Harpya (1979 – Palme d'Or Cannes)

  • Nocturnal Butterflies (1998 – Grand Prix Annecy)
